The National Association of Letter Carriers will behaving their 27th Annual Food Drive on Saturday, May 11, 2019. It is the largest one day food drive in thenation. Last year they collected 71.6million pounds of food, which brought their 26 year total to 1.67 Billion poundsof food. Locally, 140,074 pounds of food has been collected. All food collected locally stays within ourcommunity.
HOW YOU CAN HELP!
On Saturday, May 11, 2019 put your non-perishable donation in a bag by your mailbox. It will be delivered to the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County.
Please refrain from donating food items in glass containers or that require refrigeration.
Great donations are: Low sugar canned fruits, low salt canned vegetables and soups, whole grain pasta, beans, rice, peanut butter, tuna and other canned protein.
